That’s what they all say.
I still sob until my mouth is dry
Not soothed in any way.
Please don’t scream…
Now they all incessantly plead.
As I watch my hopeful, happy dream
Shatter to pieces while I bleed.
Please don’t bawl…
Soft voices they used as they demand.
How can I not when I see her crawl
Leaving bloody stream across the empty barren land.
Lifeless, cold, and barely breathing
The choice is all mine to cease believing.
